John Deere:
Harvesting Hope

This team was started by the family of Miles Rosnow. Miles was a 2013 graduate of Fosston High School and passed away in 2016. With his death, a brother, son, grandson, nephew, uncle, fiance, and friend was lost. John Deere is included in the team name because Miles was an avid fan of the tractors throughout his life and had started his own collection of older models, hoping to one day fix them up.

Who Are We Harvesting Hope For?
    1. People struggling with mental illnesses and/or suicidal thoughts.
Sometimes people choose not to get help because they do not want to be labelled and stigmatized. we want to let people know that it is okay to reach out for help, because nobody needs to suffer in silence out of fear of being judged. There are some amazing resources and programs in the area, including through Evergreen, which provide hope and support for those who are struggling. Funds raised through this event will help maintain these much needed programs.

    2. Suicide Survivors
Words cannot express the difficulty of losing a loved one to suicide. Events such as the Bemidji Run/Walk/Skate for Suicide Prevention allow survivors the opportunity to come together, support one another, and receive help through various resources and programs. All of these allow survivors to experience hope and healing.
